Where did the summer go? My last post was about Mother's Day for crying out loud (sounds of me crying. out. loud.)
My children start school in two weeks. Did you hear me loud and clear? Let me grab my megaphone. TWO WEEKS!!!! How am I, I mean they.... going to be ready in two weeks? Which brings me to another subject... SCHOOL SHOPPING. Are there any moms out there who completely lose their minds like me when they not only think about school shopping, but actually partake in it? I temporarily lose most brain function when I school shop. I can barely remember my name and address let alone shop for a new school year of supplies, clothes and all that entails. I tried to pay with my drivers license people! What is up with that?
I really hate the first few weeks of school. Don't get me wrong, I really try to psych my kids up about school, but I am secretly dreading the first day and the weeks that follow when school starts. Until the routine is down and I am confident in their teachers and all my little ducks are in a row. Then I can adjust just fine.
I am truly sorry for the lack of posting this summer. I still do not have a computer, and am still taking donations for one. (Insert tremendous laughter noise here) I have only my work computer and it is very hard to post very often. Imagine that, they are paying me to work, not blog.
So as I, I mean WE adjust to the new schedule fast approaching, please remember how fast these years go by, and as we buzz through these days rushing to buy them the coolest backpacks, lunchboxes, clothes and shoes. Stop and smell the No.2 pencils, Uh, I mean roses. Enjoy these moments, they go by too quickly.
